'Alice' is the second single from my debut album ‘Donsya an Loryow’ which will be released in August on vinyl. The piece was written, performed, mixed and produced at Home by me and mastered by Ryan Van Kriedt. It features an old banjo, double bass, guitar, bouzouki, cello, tabla, percussion, and a spoken poem in the middle.

The song is about the Moon and a girl called Alice who one night is guided by a gifted hand to wander through the land and bathe her eyes in milk. Following the flowers, she wanders through gardens with her eyes closed and is cleansed under the New Moon. I think it is one of my favourites from the album and a piece I really enjoyed writing and recording. The cover is a photograph I took of the Moon above the trees in Mousehole where I imagined Alice to be walking through.
